KUAN YIN BREATHWORK AND MOVMENT

Kuan Yin Breathwork and Movement is a form of qigong developed by Saki to help students awaken to the unconditional love and compassion that are essential elements in healing and transformation.

It combines meditation, breathwork, movement and self-healing practices drawn from Taoist, Buddhist and Medical qigong to form an exquisitely simple, practical, and beneficial program that is suitable for all ages and conditions of health.

During Saki's classes and retreats, some background theoretical information on the foundations of traditional Oriental medicine are given.  Much emphasis is given to the inter-relationship and alchemy of the five elements to harmonize body, mind, emotions and Spirit.

Kuan Yin Breathwork and Movement aims to:

- Regulate the body (joints, muscles, organ systems, nervous system, spine, and meridians) by relaxing, centering, energizing and re-balancing;

- Regulate the breath and further awareness of its depth, rhythm, strength, volume, and center;

- Regulate the Mind by strengthening focus, concentration, inner stillness, and removing negative states caused by emotional imbalances, fears, and a stressful life;

- Regulates the Spirit by opening the heart to compassion and loving kindness for self and others; by awakening consciousness and uplifting spirit; by balancing the emotions; and by strengthening the memory.

INTRODUCTION CLASSES are offered regularly in Voorburg, the Netherlands at the Wijkcentrum Oranjehoek, Oranje Nassaustraat 1, Voorburg.  During these open classes, Saki presents some of the background theory in working with universal energy (qi) from the Oriental medical system, bringing in spiritual perspectives as it applies to the practice of qigong.  Simple qigong and self-healing exercises will be taught, with the emphasis on opening up the body-mind to qi, clearing blockages, and gathering and directing qi.

ONGOING CLASSES:

In these classes, we practice Dao-in stretches to open the body's energy flows, medical qigong for the different seasons, elements, and organ-meridian systems, Taoist healing sounds, and other practices to enhance concentration and self-healing capacities.  We also study and reflect on the relationship between psychic and imbalances and the spiritual dimensions of qigong. This class  is open to those who are commited to their own inner work and process.
